Dear Friends,
Even heard of truth and reconciliation? You can find wikipedia and other sources giving details about it. It's a bit complicated. But we can take some good things from it for our harmonious living. Truth and reconciliation, literally, as applicable to us, can be as simple as: yes, we did this bad thing in the past to you. We have realized. We want to apologize and rectify our wrong doing. We accept remedial action. We want to live with you as your friend and a co human.
An RSS event happened in Chennai on 8-Jun-2019. The guest lecturer said about a shocking survey result which said that caste discrimination still exists in many villages in India. Some people still aren't allowed to access temple, pond, river and other resources that should be available to everyone by default.
Isn't this shocking?
We have two choices before us.
1) Be in fool's paradise and keep repeating that caste discrimination never existed in Hindu society and turn a deaf ears to the facts.
2) Accept and take corrective action.
I choose the 2nd.
If you feel the same, we, inside our Hindu society need to do this.
We must apologize to people who we or our ancestors may have oppressed and discriminated.
One may ask what will the present generations do for the wrong doings done by their ancestors. The answer to them is: we need to break the ice. We need an united and harmonious Hindu society. All people must do their little bit for the unity. Please understand that it is your duty. Realizing their suffering and asking sorry sincerely only makes you a better person. Plus, we end up doing our bit to unite Hindus.
Hope you agree.
Bharat mata ki jai !!!
Thanks and regards,
